Samsung’s Smartphone With Four Cameras May Have Display-Based Fingerprint Sensor

It was rumored a few weeks ago that Samsung has a new device up its sleeve with four cameras at the back. The rumor may not have sounded plausible to many people since the company has never done a device like this. It’s yet to even release a smartphone with three cameras at the back. While some believed that the rumor might not have been about a smartphone, Samsung dropped a hint this week which suggested that it may indeed have a smartphone with four cameras. It’s now rumored that this device could feature a display-based fingerprint sensor too.

Samsung has confirmed that it’s going to launch a new smartphone on October 11th. The teaser carriers the tagline “4x fun” with other subtle hints that suggest the announcement could be related to the rumored smartphone with four cameras.

What’s as yet unconfirmed is whether this device will have all four cameras at the back or of it’s just going to feature a dual camera system at the front and back. This handset is now believed to be a new addition to Samsung’s premium mid-range Galaxy A series.

has it that Samsung has tested the display-based fingerprint sensor on this device and while it’s not yet confirmed if it made the cut, there remains a possibility that this could also be Samsung’s first device with an in-display fingerprint sensor.

We can expect to see more reports and leaks about this device in the days leading up to its launch. Samsung isn’t saying much about this new device beyond what it has already teased.
