Stardew Valley despite having launch a few years ago continues to be a very popular indie title. For those unfamiliar, the game is a cute farming sim that uses pixel art to help achieve that cute aesthetic. The game was first launched on the PC, but it eventually found its way onto consoles, and now it looks like it will be arriving on mobile devices as well.
According to Chucklefish, the game’s publisher, Stardew Valley is expected to first find its way onto iOS devices starting on the 24th of October. We can only assume that there are plans to eventually bring it onto Android, but there is no word on when that is, so it looks like iOS users will be able to enjoy the game first.
In fact for those who are interested, the game will be available for pre-order via the iOS App Store starting on the 10th of October. The game will be priced at $7.99 and just like the PC and console versions of the game, it is a one-time payment and there are no microtransactions to worry about. Unfortunately even if you’ve purchase the PC or console version of the game, you’ll still need to pay for this if you want the mobile version of the game.
However the good news is that if you’re a PC gamer, you will actually be able to transfer your saved games via iTunes, so you can just pick up where you left off (minus support for mods).
